About Us

Description

Caro and Paul started Kuyen in Auckland, Aotearoa (New Zealand) in 2025; partly a passion project, partly a dare to themselves that got out of hand.

Caro brings a background in marketing; Paul brings... enthusiasm, mostly. What they share is a love of bringing new and exciting jewellery to New Zealand, real style at prices that don't sting.

The name? Caro is originally from Chile, and while exploring Mapuche culture she fell for kuyen, the word for moon. Paul likes the moon. Branding decision: unanimous.

Every piece we offer has been hand-picked by us, and all our stock lives right here in New Zealand. No long waits, no international shipping surprises, just your next favourite piece, ready to orbit with you.

Our pieces aren't made to blend in, they're made for those who dare to orbit outside the ordinary. Wild. Playful. Ever-changing. Just like the moon, we embrace every phase, from the bold and brilliant to the soft and mysterious.

We mostly work with high-quality stainless steel, because some phases demand a different kind of strength. It's naturally anti-tarnish, waterproof, and incredibly resilient. It won't fade, discolour, or react with your skin, no matter how many waves you chase or how many layers you dance off. For the nights that get long, the hands that stay busy, and the spirits that refuse to be weighed down. It's jewellery that keeps shining, even when you forget to take it off.

Because Kuyen is made to move with you through every phase. Like the moon itself.
