About Us

We are a small jewellery business based in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Kuyen is named after the Mapuche Chilean word for moon, because we shine unapologetically in every phase. And of course, one of our owners is Chilean, but we all agreed on the moon as an inspiration. Bold. Fun. A little weird. Always empowering.

Our pieces aren’t made to blend in — they’re made for those who dare to orbit outside the ordinary. Wild. Playful. Ever-changing. Just like the moon, we embrace every phase, from the bold and brilliant to the soft and mysterious.

Kuyen pieces are crafted with intention and quality. We work mostly with S925 sterling silver and 14k / 18k gold plating, chosen for their timeless beauty and durability.

We also work with high-quality stainless steel — because some phases demand a different kind of strength. Stainless steel is naturally anti-tarnish, waterproof, and incredibly resilient. It won’t fade, discolour, or react with your skin, no matter how many waves you chase or how many layers you dance off. That’s why our Dusk Collection is made entirely of stainless steel: for the nights that get long, the hands that stay busy, and the spirits that refuse to be weighed down. It’s jewellery that keeps shining, even when you forget to take it off.

Every piece we offer has been hand-picked by us, and all our stock is right here in New Zealand. No long waits, no international shipping surprises — just your next favourite piece, ready to orbit with you.

Because Kuyen is made to move with you through every phase. Like the moon itself.
